Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Greenville Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the content of your message and use it to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Routine hosting logs can include an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may be used for basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
We use the limited information described above to run the site, address technical problems, measure traffic, and improve its reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Websites
Links may lead to Hunt County and Texas portals, library collections, archives, or third-party search tools. Each outside provider controls the information submitted through its service under its own privacy policy. That includes sponsored search results supplied by a third party.
Who Can Process Information
Hosting and support providers process server logs for the site. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information noted above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Protecting Information
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for the period needed for the stated purposes. There are no site accounts, so Greenville Residents Directory does not maintain a visitor password or profile that could be exposed.
Visitors Under 18
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Texas Privacy Rights
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, effective July 1, 2024, describes rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing of personal data, subject to its terms and exclusions. Because Greenville Residents Directory retains very little, a request will ordinarily involve checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs, then removing applicable information. Use the Contact Us page to make a request.
Government-held public records are different. The Texas Public Information Act, Tex. Gov’t Code ch. 552, along with record-specific confidentiality rules, governs access to many records held by Texas, Hunt County, and Greenville custodians. A privacy request to this site cannot alter an official record; contact the office that maintains it.
Updates to This Policy
We will post revisions to this policy here. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
